Purk is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Kottes-Purk in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 51 building areas with 19,400 m² and 45 gardens on 15,117 m² in the cadastral municipality of Purk , in 1989/1990 there were 68 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 150 and in 2009/2010 there were 81 buildings on 155 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 240 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 52 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 231 hectares and 58 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 222 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 59 hectares. The average soil climate of Purk is 25.5 (as of 2010).
