The Bondenwald grammar school is a grammar school in Hamburg .

history

The Bondenwald grammar school is the continuation of the Lokstedt secondary school , which had to leave its building on Sootbörn in Niendorf because of the advance of the Hamburg airport. On December 1, 1958, the foundation stone for the new building on Bondenwald in Niendorf was laid. The first classes of the lower school were able to move in 1959. In 1961 the upper school classes followed. The auditorium was completed in 1963, the sports field and swimming pool in 1965. On February 26th, 2009 the new building of the grammar school was officially opened. An extension of the building is planned in order to be able to teach students who are currently being taught in the rooms of the Röthmoorweg school in the premises of the grammar school.

location

The Bondenwald grammar school is located in the Hamburg district of Niendorf, right next to the Niendorfer Gehege forest . The approximately 900 students are taught by approximately 70 teachers and trainee teachers.

Focus

In addition to two orchestras, string groups, the BigBondBand and three choirs, there are other bands. There are also music classes .
