Big Band At the Bornbrook grammar school, the so-called wind class is offered as an elective for year 5. First of all, the students receive a musical instrument assigned to them for two years, for which they also receive instrument lessons that year. After that, the students can join the "hobies". Later the “Junior Big Band” and the “Gymbo Big Band” join them.

School Orchestra The school's orchestra performs classical pieces. The string section, in which a string instrument can be learned, serves as preparation for the orchestra.

School choirs In addition to the lower school choir for grades 5–7, there is the Bornbrook Choir, which also takes part in competitions. Both choirs present themselves at the annual Christmas concert.
