history

In 1344 the Nuremberg council gave Konrad Waldstromer the pond at Siechgraben with the condition that the weir of the Fischbach be restored, and allowed the construction of a yard for the pond supervisor . In 1433 the place was first mentioned in a document as the "Weiherhaus". In 1492 the manor came to the Nuremberg patricians Haller , in 1518 to the Holzschuher . After the place was burned down in 1552, it came back to the Haller in 1566, who rebuilt the manor. Since then the property has been called Hallerschloß.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 5 properties in Hallerschloß with the Hallerhütte and the Weiherhaus (1 manor house, 4 houses). The high court exercised the imperial city of Nuremberg, but this was disputed by the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Cadolzburg and Burgthann . The sole landlord was the Nuremberg owner von Haller.

As part of the municipal edict, Hallerschloß was assigned to the Gleißhammer tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Gleißhammer founded in the same year . In 1813 the Haller Castle was sold by the Haller family.

In 1899 Hallerschloß was incorporated into Nuremberg . The Hallerschloß was destroyed in the Second World War .

Today the name of an inn on the corner of Herbartstrasse 71 and Hainstrasse still reminds of the former Hallerschloß.
