The Hamburg half marathon (since 2004 with the official name hella hamburg half marathon after the sponsor hella ) is a half marathon in Hamburg that has been taking place since 1995 and is one of the largest in Germany. The organizer is the BMS Sportveranstaltungs GbR in cooperation with the German Blade Challenge, the Hamburger Leichtathletik-Verband eV and the German Rollsport und Inline-Verband eV (DRIV), the sports sponsor is the Hamburger SV . Since 1996, the program has also included a half marathon for inline skaters .

The race, which previously took place in the Stadtpark , has started on the Reeperbahn since 2003 . Until 2016, the route had made a loop to the Hamburg-Altona district office and the jetties back to the Reeperbahn. For reasons of capacity, the route in 2017 goes via Königsstraße first to the Altona district office and then via Holländische Reihe and Bernadottestraße. Via Liebermannstraße it goes back over Elbchaussee to the district office, where you get to Palmaille . Now walk eastwards past the Altona fish market onto Hafenstrasse and along the landing bridges to the Johannisbollwerk. It continues via Vorsetzen, Kajen and Bei den Mühren to the Dovenfleet. The Wallring tunnel leads to the Inner Alster . A turning point route follows on the Kennedy Bridge. Follow the east bank of the Outer Alster northwards into the Uhlenhorst and Winterhude , before heading to Harvestehude to the destination on the Rothenbaumchaussee.
