Heinz Scholz (actor)

Heinz Scholz (born March 15, 1910 in Berlin ; † May 31, 1978 in East Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

Scholz first completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller ; He also took acting lessons and made his debut at the Remscheid City Theater in 1930 . Until 1945 he was mainly employed by summer theater groups and various traveling ensembles .

After the Second World War he had permanent engagements as a theater actor at the Nationaltheater Weimar (from 1945), at the theater of friendship in Berlin, at the Berliner Volksbühne and at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater .

At DEFA and on GDR television , Scholz was seen as a character actor in numerous films, especially in fairy tale films , where he made “striking appearances”. He often played "weird, quirky characters".

For his portrayal of the role of Karl Andreas Voss in the multi-part television series Ich - Axel Cäsar Springer , he received the GDR National Prize for Art and Literature together with the film's actors' ensemble.
