Hermann Friedrich von der Groeben (born February 17, 1828 in Ludwigsdorf , † March 27, 1902 in Königsberg ) was a Prussian major general and curator of the Langheim - Lieper family affidavit .

Hermann was a son of the Majoratsherrn on Ludwigsdorf Hans von der Groeben (1788–1837) and his wife Amande, born von Rosenberg-Gruszczynski (1796–1867). His brother Karl (1826–1898) also became a Prussian major general.

Military career

Groeben first visited the cadet houses in Kulm and Berlin . Subsequently, on May 27, 1845, he was transferred to the 1st Infantry Regiment of the Prussian Army as a Second Lieutenant .
