Lord of the Three Worlds (alternative title: Die Drei Welten des Gulliver ) is the title of an American - British Jonathan Swift film adaptation by Jack Sher from 1960. The film was released in Germany on December 20, 1960.
action
The plot of the film: Lemuel Gulliver is not particularly successful as a doctor because he is too good-natured and often does not allow himself to be paid for. His girlfriend Elizabeth wants to buy a house with him, but it's just an old hut. They quarrel about this. In order to get more money and to be able to offer Elizabeth more, he hires himself as a ship's doctor. Elizabeth went on board too. The ship sinks in a storm and Gulliver is stranded on Liliput , an island on which the inhabitants are very small. The Lilliputians are waging war against the neighboring island of Blefuscu over the question of whether a boiled egg should be cracked on the head or the thick end. The unconscious Gulliver is first handcuffed by the small residents and transported to the capital. After he has proven his "harmlessness" there, the king calls on him to attack the neighboring island and destroy the inhabitants. Gulliver only collects their ships. He does not want to allow himself to be further abused as a "war machine" and builds a boat to leave Liliput.
After a while at sea, Gulliver reaches Brobdingnag Island , a country where he is now the dwarf and the locals the giants. A "little" girl, Glumdalklitsch, finds him on the beach and takes him to the king. Here his arrival is astonishing and he meets Elizabeth again. Glumdalklitsch stays at the farm and looks after them. Gulliver takes Elizabeth as his wife. But scheming courtiers say Gulliver is a wizard and want to have him killed. Glumdalklitsch helps him and Elizabeth escape.
Both return home exhausted. Gulliver states that all three worlds, that of Liliput, that of Brobdingnag and his world are within each one. He returns home happy with Elizabeth.
