Otto Czarski

Otto Czarski (born April 12, 1920 , † August 11, 2000 in Berlin ) was a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Otto Czarski has worked as a supporting actor in feature films since the mid-1950s , for example in the Edgar Wallace films The Blue Hand and The Man with the Glass Eye or the comedy The Gentlemen in the White Waistcoat . His work on television was more extensive. Here, too, he was mostly limited to concise supporting roles; his greatest role is likely to have been the police chief commissioner Friedberg in the Berlin cult series Direktion City (1976–1982). Czarski's last work in front of the camera was "Grandpa" in an episode of the 1984 children's series Löwenzahn .

Otto Czarski also worked extensively as a voice actor since the mid-1950s. Until about 1999 he could be heard in almost 600 synchronous roles - mostly in series such as Mit Schirm, Charme und Melone , Auf der Flucht , Bonanza , Hawaii 5-0 , Magnum , Dallas , Der Denver-Clan , Hart but cordially , Remington Steele , Cagney and Lacey , Frasier or Emergency Room . Czarski also lent his distinctive voice to many characters in the popular radio play series Benjamin Blümchen and Bibi Blocksberg .

Little is known about Czarski's private life. He lived in Berlin-Wilmersdorf until his death . He left behind his wife and son.
