Hesperia is a city in San Bernardino County in the US state of California , with around 90,000 inhabitants (as of the 2010 census ). Hesperia is located in the Mojave Desert , about 120 kilometers northeast of Los Angeles . The urban area has an area of 174.6 square kilometers.
The number of inhabitants has increased significantly within a decade since 2000. While around 62,000 people were still registered in Hesperia in 2000, this number will rise to over 90,000 in 2010. Around half of the city's population are white, followed by Latinos . Minorities are African American and Asians. In 2010 around 26,000 households were also registered in the city.
The city also has a small airfield just outside the settlement areas.
