Planning

The tower on Mailänder Platz is planned for the Europaviertel , and the Porsche Design Tower on Pragsattel .

Unrealized plans

As in every big city, there are remarkable, but not realized high-rise plans in Stuttgart. Mention should be made here of a so-called Trump Tower (Germany) , which was an issue from 2001. This planned Trump Tower was to be built on the exposed Prague , a mountain on the northern edge of the Stuttgart valley basin. The 180-meter-high office, hotel and residential high-rise, the cost of which was estimated at around 230 million euros at the time, was "controversial among the population, in the local council as well as in the architectural and real estate scene". The skyscraper was initially to be built in Berlin. When this project failed, the alternatives Frankfurt / M came. and in April 2001 in Stuttgart. After 2003 the plans were not pursued any further.

More high-rise buildings in the region

Establishing the record in the region that was wüstenrot tower in Ludwigsburg mentioned with its 79 meters. It was built in the early 1970s. With about 70 meters produced in Bietigheim-Bissingen the Sky skyscraper . In addition, the Schwabenlandtower is currently under construction in Fellbach , with a planned 107 meters. In October 2015 the new 66 meter high building of the Festo company was opened in Esslingen. Bosch built a new research center in Renningen. a. included a 60 meter high new building. At the moment a 70 meter high new building for the Bitzer company is being built in Sindelfingen.

The town hall tower (and water tower) in Kornwestheim from 1935 (48 meters height of the building) is a very unique combination .
