Horst Schön (born December 26, 1926 in Berlin ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Life

After the Second World War, Horst Schön initially worked as a theater actor in East Berlin , before returning to East Berlin in 1956 via stage stations in Güstrow, Wismar, Erfurt and Potsdam, where he became a member of the Volksbühne . In addition to extensive dubbing work, he played in numerous DEFA and DFF film and television productions, such as in 1970 at Manfred Krug's side in the DEFA film My Hour Zero . After his imprisonment in the Cottbus penitentiary in September 1973 because of an attempt to escape and being ransomed to the Federal Republic of Germany in 1975, he played in theaters in West Berlin . He was seen on television in the series Tatort and The Country Doctor, among others .

His first dubbing work in the Federal Republic was in 1978 the supporting role of President Cashew in the cartoon series Captain Future . He dubbed Richard Burton in the war film The Wild Geese Come and in two other films. He has been Leslie Nielsen's regular spokesman since The Naked Gun . As the successor to the late Wolfgang Kieling , Schön spoke to Bert for a few years on Sesame Street .
