IC 1719 is a lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Sculptor in the southern sky . It is an estimated 256 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 120,000 light years in diameter.

The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on September 4, 1897 .
