IC 1715 is an irregular galaxy of Hubble type IM in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 191 million light years from the Milky Way and about 40,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on January 29, 1897 .
