IC 1723 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 251 million light years away from the Milky Way and is approximately 245,000 light years in diameter.

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 17, 1897 .
