IC 3052 is an elliptical dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type dE2 with an active galaxy core in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 35 million light years from the Milky Way and is <5,000 light years in diameter. It is listed as a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster under catalog number VCC 93 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 3041 , IC 3046 , IC 3047 , IC 3060 .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 7, 1904 .
