IC 3043 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type S in the constellation Virgo to the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 419 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4207 , IC 3025 , IC 3037 , IC 3069 .

The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 7, 1904 .
