NGC 4165 = IC 3035 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Virgo in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 80 million light years from the Milky Way .
The object was discovered by Heinrich d'Arrest on April 8, 1864 .
