It was not me (original title: I Did not Do It ) is an American sitcom station's Disney Channel , which is broadcast since 17 January, 2014. The German-language first broadcast took place on January 12, 2015 on the free TV station Disney Channel . The series was discontinued in October 2015 after two seasons.

The series is about dizygoti twins Lindy and Logan Watson, who are having their first year of high school with their three best friends Jasmine, Garrett and Delia . The show takes place in Chicago . Each episode begins with an unusual situation, for example Lindy and Logan are confronted by their parents after a wild party. The rest of the episode tells how it came about.

The idea for It's not me had Death Heaven, already for 90210 and Sabrina - Totally Bewitched! and Josh Silverstein, who worked on the Disney series Sonny Munroe . The series was ordered on June 18, 2013. The pilot episode was shot in January 2013, with further production starting in the fall. The series is very focused on teenage life and only marginally shows the parents. The production also brings new narrative styles to the Disney Channel and should therefore also be attractive to a slightly older target group than other programs of the station. The broadcast of the first episode on January 17, 2014 reached 3.9 million viewers. In Germany, the German Disney Channel plans to broadcast the series from January 12, 2015. In July 2014, the Disney Channel announced the production of a second season, which began broadcasting in the United States in February 2015.

Olivia Holt plays Lindy Watson

Lindy Watson is a very intelligent and gifted student. Her attitude and enthusiasm for things that seem boring to her peers often make her look like a nerd and a geek. She is still the perfect friend for the clique, as she is always helpful and there for her friends. Often she gets too pure in her ideas, which, to her amazement, are not approved by most of the others, which often causes problems. She likes to interfere in other matters and gives everyone advice, often unwanted. So she occasionally makes one or two faux pas.

Logan Watson is very relaxed, cool, easy-going, and confident and has big plans for high school. But these plans sometimes clash with those of his twin sister Lindy. He was in a fake relationship with Jasmine for an episode to make Jenna jealous.

Jasmine is intelligent, daring and trend-conscious. She always supports her friends. She has been a fashionista since third grade, lives off good grades, pulling off bold pranks and always the perfect outfit for every occasion. In one episode, she and Logan had a fake relationship because she wanted her ex-boyfriend back. However, she really fell in love with him.

Garrett is a bit of a mysophobe . His affinity for cleanliness and order is constantly being pushed to its limits by his four friends. He's on the football team thanks to Lindy's advice, although he's mostly on the bench.

Delia Delfano is a lovable, eccentric person. She is very open and if there is something that should not be said out loud, she does it anyway and enjoys it. Her clothes are often very idiosyncratic and she almost always wears her large glasses.

Since Logan and Garrett are always outvoted by the girls, they try to integrate Tom, who is new to the school, into the group. The girls also agree. Since Tom keeps telling the same story about a shark, they want to get rid of it. In order not to hurt his feelings, they say they go skydiving, which Tom is very scared of. But contrary to their plan, he comes with and the group actually dares a parachute jump.

In elementary school, a teacher had the children write letters to themselves about how they would like to be in high school. Now she sends these letters to the children and Lindy pretends to her friends that she has not received her letter because she wishes in her letter to look for other friends. Then the others go to the post office to look for the letter that Lindy has already thrown away.

Lindy tries to convince her classmates to eat more vegetables and does not meet with much approval. Jasmine, Logan and Delia develop a spray that can be sprayed on vegetables to make them taste better and call it Happy Time Flavor Changing Yum Yum Spray. When Lindy sees the success, she really wants to participate. The group is even invited to television with the invention, but Logan changed the recipe at the last minute, which made the tolerability of the spray significantly worse and the presentation fails.

Logan's got a coupon for a cheap weekend at a ski lodge. So the friends go there with Lindy's parents. Since Logan left a window open, snow from the snow cannon penetrates the cabin and the ceiling collapses.

When Greg Johnson falls ill, Lindy and Sherri are the only ones who have never been absent from school. Lindy gets a slight fever and goes on to school, whereupon Sherri, who is considered a nice girl everywhere, takes drastic measures and even locks Lindy up so that she is absent from school. Meanwhile, Jasmine, Delia and Logan are trying to get a date for the school ball. When they do, however, they get sick and Lindy, who is well again, is the only one to come to the ball. Lindy is doing an internship in an art museum, but there she just has to be careful that visitors don't use the stairs. Logan sells t-shirts at the museum and immediately gets a job in the gift shop. Delia believes she is the reincarnation of the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti , whose mummy is currently on display in the museum. For a comparison, Jasmine wants to get the DNA from the mummy. Garrett is now trying to stop chewing his fingernails .

The group goes on a school trip to Washington, DC While Delia has locked herself out on the balcony of the hotel room, Delia is with Jasmine in front of the White House, where the President's dog slips into her pocket unnoticed. You only notice this in the hotel room, when the dog's disappearance has already dominated the television news. Shortly afterwards, they are interrogated by the Secret Service . They're eventually released thanks to the help of a senator Logan previously met, and they even meet the president in person.

Logan meets a pretty girl in the department store who gives him her number, and he promises to call her. But his cell phone breaks and the repair takes 72 hours. Out of solidarity, Lindy and the others offer to go without their cell phones for the next three days, only Jasmine secretly uses her second cell phone. In the end, Logan is pushed into a pool of water by the girl's brother from the department store because he has not contacted her.

Logan and Lindy take part in a study for twins. Surprisingly, both gave 100% the same answers, whereupon the test should be repeated in front of an audience at a conference. But Logan has only copied from Lindy and instructs Garrett to convey Lindy's answers to him at the conference, for which Garrett rappels down from the ceiling, but then falls.

Lindy is annoyed that she has the "Stamp of Approval": Parents let their children participate in things that they are otherwise not allowed to do when they know that Lindy is there too. Logan is secretly dating Danica, whose father is Vice Principal of the school.

Lindy is reluctant that everyone only advocates for cute animals, but no one for the ugly ones. That's why she organizes a charity run for the "mud devils", a species of lizard. After Logan learns that whoever collects the most donations will get a prize, he starts looking for sponsors. But when his friends tell him that he has an amusing running style, he pretends to have a broken toe so he doesn't have to run. With a complaint, Delia causes the waitress in the "Rumble Juice" to be fired. Because of her guilty conscience, she tries to get her a new job, which turns out to be not that easy as she doesn't seem to be suitable for anything. Jasmine and Delia tell Lindy about the "blonde bonus" that she enjoys. She doesn't want to believe them until she can win a beach volleyball national player for her charity run with her blonde hair.

Jasmine becomes the school morning announcer host. Since everyone finds their announcements boring, Logan is assigned as co-moderator. That makes the news a lot funnier and helps Jasmine to gain unexpected popularity. Since they forget the actual announcements between the jokes, the students do not learn anything about an accident in the water pipes.

Logan takes Lindy evil that they are in a false alarm brought the fire alarm itself to safety and he has forgotten it. To annoy her, he continues to make her feel guilty, even when he's no longer angry. Delia gets behind his plan and uses this knowledge to put Logan on the preparations for an upcoming pumpkin competition that she wants to win. Logan, on the other hand, takes advantage of Lindy's guilty conscience and hands the task over to her, while he supports Jasmine in a dance competition against her ex-boyfriend, because her actual partner Garrett is unfortunately unable to attend.

Lindy is shocked to learn that Garrett owns a super-modern bike but, out of caution, never uses it. So she persuades him to go on a bike tour with her. Garrett's bike is promptly stolen from the bike stand in front of the "Rumble Juice". The next day, when an identical bike is in the bike rack, Garrett mistakenly thinks it is his bike. He takes it to Lindy and there the two discover that it belongs to someone else.
