Your first rendezvous is a German-Austrian color film from 1955. Directed by Axel von Ambesser . The leading roles were cast with Nicole Heesters , Adrian Hoven , Paul Dahlke and Karl Schönböck . Max Colpet wrote the script together with the director. The strip is the remake of the French film of the same name from 1941 (original title “Premier rendez-vous”), the plot being relocated to the Salzburg milieu and the 1950s. In the Federal Republic of Germany, the film first hit cinemas on August 25, 1955.

The 17-year-old Christa has so far not been particularly spoiled by happiness. Growing up in an orphanage , the pubescent dreams of a man who loves her. In response to a newspaper advertisement, she begins correspondence with a stranger. With the help of her friend Erika, who was allowed to leave the orphanage to take up an apprenticeship, she should finally get to know her adored correspondent personally. It's about the literature professor Martin, who, considering his age, could be her father. But not only Christa is disappointed with the meeting, the stranger also expected something else: a mature lady with whom he could spend his old age. With the presence of mind, he cheated on the girl that he was merely representing his nephew Rolf, who suddenly had to travel. After Christa has told the elderly gentleman that she fled the orphanage only because of this rendezvous, the latter takes her to his boarding house, although the teachers are strictly forbidden to see women in the institution.

When Rolf returns from his trip and enters his room unsuspecting (he lives in the boarding school with his uncle), he is completely surprised to find a strange girl there. He immediately falls in love with her. But she returns to the orphanage disappointed. After a few mistakes and confusions, in which four students of the literature professor also get involved, the latter accepts Christa as a child. As a present he gives her a newspaper with an advertisement outlined in red: “Christa! I'm waiting for you. Please write to me immediately. - Rolf. Poste restante. Password: First rendezvous. "

Production notes

It is a German-Austrian joint production by Melodie-Filmproduktion GmbH, Berlin, and Donau-Filmproduktion, Vienna. The shooting took place in the studios in Salzburg-Parsch. The outdoor shots were taken in Salzburg and the surrounding area as well as at Lake Wolfgang . The music for the film and the song “Wenn wir heute 'apartgeh'n” sung in the film was composed by Peter Kreuder and the text was written by Max Colpet in collaboration with Aldo von Pinelli . Julius von Borsody and Heinz Ockermüller created the film structures. Gerdago contributed the costumes.
