Indian Premier League 2019
The Indian Premier League 2019 (officially: VIVO Indian Premier League 2019) was the twelfth season of the twenty- 20 format competition for Indian cricket teams and took place between March 23 and May 12, 2019. Unlike previous events in years with Indian parliamentary elections , the tournament was held entirely in India this year. In the final, the Mumbai Indians managed to beat the Chennai Super Kings with a run .

In December 2018 the Delhi Daredevils changed their name to Delhi Capitals.

The eight franchises played in a group twice against each other team. They received two points for every win and one point for every draw or no result . The four first placed in the group qualified for the playoffs which were played in the page playoff system .
