Indie Recordings is a Norwegian record label based in Oslo . The company specializes in the genres of metal and hard rock .

history

The company was founded in 2006 by the brothers Espen and Erik Solheim Røhne, who had founded Tabu Recordings three years earlier . After some employees had to be laid off at Tabu Recordings, Indie Recordings was founded. In 2008 and 2010 the band Enslaved was awarded the Spellemann Prize in the Metal category for their albums Vertebrae and Axioma Ethica Odini . In 2011, Kvelertak were awarded the Spellemann Prize in the categories of Best Newcomer and Best Rock Band .
