Irene Kugler

Irene Kugler (* 1954 in Vienna , Austria) is a German actress .

Life

Irene Kugler received acting training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and privately with Dominic de Fazio in Rome . In her theater career she worked with directors such as Cesare Lievi, Jossi Wieler , Stephan Kimmig , Dušan David Pařízek , Martin Kušej and Dimiter Gotscheff .

After engagements in Baden-Baden and Saarbrücken , she was engaged at the Heidelberg Theater from 1984 to 1993 . From 1987 to 1988 she made a guest appearance in Rome. From 1993 to 1995 she was in Mannheim at the theater together with Hans-Ulrich Becker and Amélie Niermeyer . From 1995 to 2005 she was part of the ensemble of the State Theater Stuttgart . She played u. a. Medea (Director: Hans-Ulrich Becker), Grace in Gesäubert von Sarah Kane (Director: Martin Kušej), Mascha in Drei Schwestern (Director: Jacqueline Kornmüller ), Mell in In der Fernsten Ferne von Zinnie Harris (Director: Dimiter Gotscheff), Natalja Petrovna in A Month in the Country (Director: Erich Sidler ) and the title role in Richard III. (Director: Marc von Henning). From 1998 to 2005 she also taught at the Stuttgart University of Music and Theater. From 2005 to summer 2013 Irene Kugler was part of the ensemble of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg . She worked here a. a. with Roberto Ciulli in Der Kirschgarten by Anton Chekhov and in Der Wunderheiler by Brian Friel . Other pieces in Hamburg were Spieltrieb (director: Roger Vontobel ), Das Käthchen von Heilbronn (director: Roger Vontobel), Dantons Tod (director: Dušan David Pařízek), Spiel's again # 2 (director: Dominique Schnizer), Romeo and Juliet ( Director: Klaus Schumacher ), Silly Old Fools (director: Marc von Hennig) Der goldene Drache (director: Klaus Schumacher).

After Kugler worked as a freelance actress between 2013 and 2019, she engaged Sonja Anders at the Hanover Theater for the 2019/20 season .

Irene Kugler played in the films The Second Home - Chronicle of a Youth , Friends , Crazy and Requiem . She is regularly seen in television roles. She plays in series such as the Tatort , SOKO Kitzbühel , SOKO Wismar , SOKO Cologne , Bella Block , Einsatz in Hamburg and the television film Ein Murderisches Geschäfts .
