JD Evermore
John Daniel Evermore (born November 5, 1968 in Greenville , Mississippi ) is an American actor .
Life
Evermore was born in 1968 in Greenville, the oldest of seven siblings. As a child, he spent much of his time at a country nightclub called The Headless Horseman , which was owned by his mother.
After a brief stint in college, he enlisted in the Marine Corps for 15 months and was posted to California. After meeting some actors in Los Angeles, he became interested in the profession.
After doing some odd jobs, he studied theater at the University of Southern Mississippi . First engagements followed at the theater and later in film and television.
From 2010 he played the detective Thomas Silby in the television series Treme . From 2013 to 2014 he played the role of Sheriff Carl Daggett in Rectify . In the first season of the series True Detective he was seen as Detective Lutz . He also took on numerous supporting roles in feature films such as Alabama Moon - Adventure Life , Django Unchained , 12 Years a Slave , Dallas Buyers Club and Planet of the Apes: Revolution .
