Jakov Medić (born September 7, 1998 in Zagreb , Croatia ) is a Croatian football player . The central defender is on loan from 1. FC Nürnberg to SV Wehen Wiesbaden .

Career

Medić was trained in Zagreb at NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac and NK Zagreb and spent his last year as an A-youth in Pula at NK Istra . In February 2017 he moved back to the Croatian capital for NK Lučko , with whom he came to his first assignments in the 1st HNL . In the 2017/18 season, the central defender was under contract with the second division club NK Vinogradar , but only played one league and one cup game for them .

In the summer of 2018, he moved to Germany for 1. FC Nürnberg . For his regional league team , the Croat came in his first season as a regular player on 26 league games in which he was able to score two goals; at the end of the season Nürnberg was fifth. SV Wehen Wiesbaden , promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga , signed the defender on loan for two seasons in the summer of 2019, at the same time he received a professional contract with the club that was valid until June 2022 . As an option, Medić can be brought back to Nuremberg after the 2019/20 season is over .
