Johannes Wurtz (born June 19, 1992 in Neunkirchen ) is a German football player . The striker is under contract with SV Wehen Wiesbaden and was a young international player.

Career

He was already registered at the age of four in the youth of the DJK Bexbach. In 2005 he moved to the youth department of 1. FC Saarbrücken , where he began as a right-back in the A-youth.

In the 2010/11 season Wurtz came to two missions in the reserve team, which played in the fifth-class league . He made his first game there on March 19, 2011 when he was substituted on for Hajrullah Muni on the 27th matchday of the league against SV Alemannia Waldalgesheim in the 80th minute.

For the 2011/12 season he was included in the professional squad ( 3rd division ). He made his professional debut on August 2, 2011, when he came on as a substitute for Markus Fuchs on the second day of the 3rd league against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the 77th minute . Only three days later, Wurtz scored his first third division goal against FC Carl Zeiss Jena , the winning 2-1. He also got a penalty, which Stephan Sieger converted to 1-1. During the season, the young striker appeared 36 times and scored nine goals.

Wurtz then moved to Werder Bremen in the summer of 2012 . The striker signed an amateur contract until 2014. On April 27, 2013, the 31st matchday of the 2012/13 season , Wurtz made his Bundesliga debut at the Bremen guest appearance in Leverkusen . He came on in the 68th minute for Felix Kroos . For the 2013/14 season , Wurtz received a professional contract that ran until 2016.

On September 2, 2013, Wurtz moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for SC Paderborn 07 on loan without a purchase option . He scored his first goal for Paderborn on matchday 8 in a 2-2 draw against Dynamo Dresden , when he scored 1-0 for his team.

For the 2014/15 season Wurtz left SC Paderborn 07 in the direction of SpVgg Greuther Fürth . He signed a contract with the second division team until June 30, 2017. Two years later, in the summer of 2016, Wurtz moved from Fürth to league rivals VfL Bochum . After a good first season, he only managed one goal in the 2017/18 season, on the last matchday against Jahn Regensburg.

On August 23, 2018, Wurtz moved to league competitor SV Darmstadt 98 and signed a contract that was valid until June 2021. He made his debut for the lilies just one day later in a 3-0 win against MSV Duisburg . He often acted as a hanging tip behind Serdar Dursun , who was also newly signed, but was far more successful - Wurtz only managed one assist and one goal in 25 compulsory games. Between summer 2019 and 2020, Dursun was able to further improve his performance, on the wings, which Wurtz could also have played, head coach Dimitrios Grammozis relied on Mathias Honsak and Tim Skarke , which is why the Saarlander only had 40 minutes of play.

The SV Wehen Wiesbaden , back to the 3. Liga staying, obliged the striker for season 2020/21 and endowed him with a one-year contract. The important offensive players Daniel-Kofi Kyereh and Manuel Schäffler had previously left SV Wehen.
