Career

society

Dominik Franke started playing soccer at his home club SC Riesa . At the age of 13 he was accepted into the youth performance center of RB Leipzig and played for its A and B youth in the respective junior national leagues. The defender always played with the young bulls and reached the final of the German championship with the U17s in spring 2014 , where Leipzig, however, failed to Borussia Dortmund . During his time in the U17 RB Leipzig, his former club SC Riesa received a training bonus from the DFB of € 2,200.

In his last A youth year he was permanently integrated into the Leipzig regional league team for the 2016/17 season and only missed four games as a regular. In men's football he finally found his permanent place in central defense even after years in various positions. The season completed RB Leipzig II from third in the table, but was subsequently dissolved. In addition, Franke was in five games without a role in the Bundesliga .

The defender then moved to VfL Wolfsburg , who provided him with a contract valid until June 2021 and from then on used in his U23 . He was also in the first division four times for the Wolves , but was never used. In his second season , Franke won the regional league championship as a regular defender with Wolfsburg II . However, the U23 had in the subsequent rise of games to 3. Liga the Bayern champions Bayern Munich II admit defeat.

A loan deal was then agreed for the 2019/20 season with the second division promoted SV Wehen Wiesbaden . The central defender was on the field for the first time in professional football for the Hessians on the 2nd match day at 2: 3 in Aue , but otherwise could not prevail in the first half of the season.

National team

Franke played in 21 games for the youth national teams of the DFB.
