Sebastian Mrowca (born January 16, 1994 in Agatharied , Germany ) is a Polish football player who has been under contract with SV Wehen Wiesbaden since July 1, 2014 .

Career

Mrowca grew up in Hausham am Schliersee in Bavaria and started playing football at the local SG Hausham . From 2009 to 2013, the central midfielder was trained in the youth department of FC Bayern Munich , where he played 20 B-Junior Bundesliga games (three goals) and 31 A-Junior Bundesliga games (four goals) and the U19 team as team captain in the semi-finals the final round of the 2013 German A-Junior Championship .

For the 2013/14 season he moved to the second division club FC Energie Cottbus , where he received a contract valid until June 30, 2016. On July 22, 2013 (1st matchday) he made his debut in paid football when he lost with the team with 0: 1 m away game against Fortuna Düsseldorf . After he tore his cruciate ligament for the second time after 2011 in early October 2013 , he only came to three point games in the Oberliga Nordost for the second team .

For the 2014/15 season , Mrowca moved to third division club SV Wehen Wiesbaden , where he first fought for a regular place. In April 2016, he suffered another cruciate ligament tear in his right knee and was absent for ten months. He made his comeback on March 4, 2017 in a 2-1 win against VfL Osnabrück . At the end of the 2016/17 season, his contract was extended to 2018. Consistently good performances in the following season led to an early contract extension until the end of the season in 2021.

National team

Mrowca gained international experience in four 19s and two U20 - caps for Poland. In March 2016 he was appointed to the extended squad of the U21 national team. However, due to his cruciate ligament injury, he was no longer used.

He only has Polish citizenship , but intends to apply for German citizenship . His brother Patryk, who is two years older, is also a soccer player; in the 2014/15 season he played for Kolkwitzer SV .
