Michel Niemeyer (born November 19, 1995 in Salzwedel ) is a German football player . The full-back has since the season 2019/20 in the second division SV Wehen Wiesbaden under contract.

Career

Niemeyer comes from the youth of SV Eintracht Salzwedel and then moved to the youth of 1. FC Magdeburg , moved from this to RB Leipzig in 2013 and played in the U-19 team until 2014. Then he moved up to the second team , with whom he made promotion to the Regionalliga Nordost at the end of the 2014/15 league season . Niemeyer played a total of 28 times for the Leipziger.

On July 1, 2015, he moved back to 1. FC Magdeburg, which had been promoted to the 3rd division . Niemeyer made his third division debut on the 1st matchday of the 2015/16 season , July 24, 2015, in a 2-1 opening win over FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . With 1. FC Magdeburg Niemeyer was able to celebrate promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2017/18 season, but the season ended for the team on a direct relegation zone.

As a result, the midfielder joined SV Wehen Wiesbaden in May 2019 , where he received a contract valid until June 2021.
