Paterson Chato Nguendong (born December 1, 1996 in Goma , Zaire , today DR Congo ) is a German-Cameroonian football player . He has been under contract with SV Wehen Wiesbaden since the 2019/20 season .

Career

Paterson Chato played in the youth team of FC Schalke 04 from 2004 to 2009 and for the youth teams of Bayer 04 Leverkusen from 2009 to 2014. From 2012 to 2014 he was a regular player in the A-Juniors Bundesliga . He also made six appearances in the UEFA Youth League .

For the 2014/15 season he was awarded to the third division Energie Cottbus . There he came in the first half of the season to only one use in the first team and otherwise played eight times in the second team in the fifth-class Oberliga Nordost .

For the 2015/16 season Chato moved to the fourth-class Regionalliga West for SC Wiedenbrück . He received a contract that ran until June 30, 2017. There he made 59 league appearances in two seasons, in which he scored six goals.

For the 2017/18 season , Chato moved within the Regionalliga West to the second team of Borussia Dortmund . He was used in 25 league games and scored two goals.

For the 2018/19 season Chato joined the third division team of Sportfreunde Lotte . He signed a one-year contract. After the Westphalians were relegated, the midfielder did not extend his contract.

For the 2019/20 season, Chato moved to SV Wehen Wiesbaden, who had been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . He received a contract with a term until June 30, 2021. Here the midfielder was able to earn a regular place at the end of the series and was also used as a central defender at times. At the beginning of May 2020, his one-year contract was extended for another two years.
