Jasiona (German: Jasten ) is a village in Upper Silesia . It is located in the municipality of Zbrosławice (Broslawitz) in the powiat Tarnogórski (Tarnowitz district) in the Silesian Voivodeship .

geography

Jasiona is located eight kilometers northwest of the Zbrosławice municipality , 14 kilometers west of the district town of Tarnowskie Góry (Tarnowitz) and 34 kilometers northwest of the voivodeship capital Katowice (Kattowitz).

history

The place was mentioned in 1783 in the book Beytrage to describe Silesia as Jasten and in Polish as Jaszionna and had a farm, eight farmers, 15 gardeners and 102 inhabitants. It belonged to a Herr von Zawarzin. In 1818 the place was mentioned as Jasten and also as Jaßione . In 1865 Jasten consisted of a manor and a village community. The Jasten and Kopanina farms belonged to the manor. The soil was very moist and not very productive. Sheep was once farmed there. From 1855 to 1861 it belonged to Otto Theodor Bollmann and then to Johann Gustav Wiedemann. The village had eight farming jobs and 20 gardening jobs. The residents of Koppinitz were also schooled .

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 38 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 161 for Poland. Jasten stayed with the German Empire . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Tost-Gleiwitz .

In 1945 the until then German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Jasiona and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Katowice Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Tarnogórski and the new Silesian Voivodeship .
