Zbrosławice (German Broslawitz ) is a village and seat of the rural community of the same name ( gmina wiejska ) in the powiat Tarnogórski ( district Tarnowitz ) of the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland .

Geography and traffic

The place is located on the banks of the Drama River, surrounded by agricultural land and forest-covered hills. By the municipality, the provincial road 903 run ( droga wojewódzka 903 ) of Krakow ( Cracow ) to Opole ( Opole ) and the no. 908 of Czestochowa ( Czestochowa ) to Gliwice ( Gleiwitz ).

The Zbrosławice station was on the Zabrze Mikulczyce – Tworóg Brynek railway , and a now-closed section of the Bytom – Wrocław railway ran through the south of the municipality .

history

Until the Second World War it was a Prussian rural community in the Upper Silesian border area with Poland in the district of Beuthen-Tarnowitz . On May 1, 1874, the district of Broslawitz in the district of Tarnowitz was formed from the rural communities of Broslawitz, Kempczowitz, Nierada and Ptakowitz and the manor districts of Broslawitz, Kempczowitz and Ptakowitz. The first head of office was the manor owner von Stockmanns from Broslawitz. In 1910 the municipality and estate district of Broslawitz together had 493 inhabitants. The rural communities of Kempczowitz and the estate districts of Broslawitz and Kempczowitz were incorporated into the rural community of Broslawitz on September 30, 1928. After that, the district of Broslawitz only included the two communities Broslawitz and Ptakowitz.

On October 1, 1936, the communities Broslawitz and Ptakowitz were merged to form the new community Dramatal. In 1939 Dramatal had 3,038 inhabitants. Former place names were Broslawitz, Broslawice, Dramathal and Dramatal.

Buildings

Historically significant is the baroque parish church of the Assumption of Mary from the 17th century, which is surrounded by the first churchyard of the Catholic parish. From the previous Gothic building from the 14th / 15th centuries The choir ( presbytery ) has been preserved in the 19th century , the free-standing bell tower ( campanile ) dates from 1564. An earlier church (All Saints' Day) made of wood was proven to have stood in the middle of the 13th century.

Community leader

The head of the municipal administration is the municipality leader . Currently, this is Wiesław Olszewski, the one for the “Forward” electoral committee. The regular election in October 2018 led to the following result.

  • Wiesław Olszewski (Election Committee “Forward”) 58.3% of the vote
  • Bernard Pigulla (Election Committee “Time for Change”) 25.7% of the vote
  • Roman Walter ( Prawo i Sprawiedliwość ) 16.1% of the vote

This means that Olszewski was re-elected as community leader in the first ballot.

Municipal council

The municipal council consists of 15 members and is directly elected by the population in single-person constituencies. The 2018 municipal council election led to the following result:

  • Election Committee “Forward” 47.5% of the vote, 9 seats
  • Election Committee “Time for Change” 32.5% of the votes, 4 seats
  • Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (PiS) 10.7% of the votes, no seat
  • Electoral Committee Marek Minkus 4.4% of the vote, 1 seat
  • Election committee “For a citizen-friendly administration in the Powiat Tarnogórski” 3.2% of the votes, 1 seat
  • Silesian Regional Party 1.8% of the vote, no seat
