history

The place was founded in 1777 in the course of the Frederician colonization by the owner of Groß Wilkowitz District Administrator Gustav von Larisch as a colony. The place Larischhof was named after him, but the forms Larischdorf, Larischau and Larischen also appeared.

The place was mentioned in 1783 in the book Beytrage describing Silesia as Lahrischhof , belonged to the Tost district and had 75 inhabitants, 26 inhabited and four uninhabited houses. In 1818 the place was mentioned as Lahrischhof and had 80 inhabitants. In 1865 Larischhof had 32 colony places and one cottage. The place was parish to Broslawitz and schooled to Groß Wilkowitz. Larischhof was considered the Vorwerk of the manor Groß Wilkowitz.

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 110 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 87 for membership in Poland. Larischhof remained with the German Reich and was part of the Tarnowitz district until 1922 . The division of Upper Silesia led to the separation of the local Protestants from their parish in Tarnowitz. This led to the construction of a new Protestant church in Larischhof in the 1920s. In 1936 the place was renamed to differentiate it from the new community Larischhof in Alt Larischhof . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Beuthen-Tarnowitz .

In 1945 the previously German town came under Polish administration and was renamed Laryszów and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Katowice Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Tarnogórski and the new Silesian Voivodeship .
