Jens Christoph Parker (born April 21, 1988 in Bremen ) is a German politician and former spokesman for the Green Youth , the youth organization of Alliance 90 / The Greens . His political work focuses on Europe, financial policy and commitment to a non-discriminatory society.

Life

Parker completed his Abitur in 2007 at the Vegesack Gymnasium in Bremen. As a student, Parker successfully took part in the Jugend forscht competition with a classmate . In 2006, Parker was honored as a member of the school cabaret “AntiToxin” by the “Werkstatt Demokratie” for his commitment. After graduating from high school, he studied economics in Frankfurt am Main until 2010 . From 2011 to 2013 Parker studied a master's degree in business administration in Potsdam . He completed his studies with a Master of Science in business administration. Parker works on eBay .

In 2007 Parker joined the Green Youth (GJ). On October 23, 2010, he was elected treasurer of the federal association with 93 percent by the general meeting. Since 2010, Parker has hosted the first Same Sex Hand Holdings on International Day Against Homophobia. Since then, "Same Sex Hand Holdings" and similar campaigns have taken place across Germany. On October 8, 2011, he was confirmed in office with 95 percent by the general meeting of the GJ. On October 28, 2012, Parker was elected spokesman for the federal association with 88 percent of the vote. His term of office expired in 2013. In 2016 his membership ended for reasons of age.

In 2010 Jens Parker was one of two German youth delegates to the UN General Assembly.

Parker became a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in 2009. Since 2013 he has been the spokesman for the Federal Association for Gay Policy . Parker initiated the first green queer congress and was responsible for the queer election program for the 2017 federal elections. Parker was one of the main characters in founding the QueerGrün umbrella structure . He has been the spokesperson for QueerGrün since 2017. Parker has been spokesman for the spokesperson council of the federal working groups since 2018.

Parker is also a member of the LSVD , the Young European Federalists and the German Society for the United Nations .
