Karl Bär (born March 13, 1985 in Tegernsee ) is a German politician and former spokesman for the Green Youth , the youth organization of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen .

Life

After graduating from the High School Tegernsee in 2004 studied bear in a double major Islamic studies and agricultural science with minors in political science and sociology . in Berlin. From 2009 to 2013 he worked as a student and later a research assistant at the green member of the Bundestag, Agnes Krumwiede, and then came to the Munich Environmental Institute as a consultant for agricultural policy .

politics

Bär joined the Green Youth in 2002 and was spokesman for the GJ Holzkirchen until 2004 . As an assessor, Bär was a member of the federal board of the Green Youth from 2006 to 2007 and from 2009 to 2010. On October 8, 2011, he was elected speaker at the 37th Federal Congress in Gelsenkirchen. For reasons of age, he did not run for a second term and was replaced on October 28, 2012 by Jens Parker as spokesman.

He ran for the Bavarian Greens at number 12 in the 2009 federal elections and was a direct candidate in the Starnberg constituency , but did not enter parliament. In December 2012 he was placed on the list by the Bavarian Greens at number 14 for the 2013 federal election and again ran as a direct candidate in the Starnberg constituency. In the local elections in Bavaria 2014 on March 16, 2014, Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Bär stood for the Holzkirchen local council and the Miesbach district council and was elected to the local council and district council.
