Jens Augner

Jens Augner (* 1971 in Berlin - Reinickendorf ) is a German politician ( GREEN ) and teacher.

Life

Augner was born in Berlin-Reinickendorf and spent his entire school days in this district. In his school days he was a handball player at VfL Tegel 1891 eV. He has lived in Berlin-Moabit since 2000 and has been teaching political science and Latin at the Reinickendorfer Humboldt Gymnasium since 2001 . Every year he organizes a memorial trip to Auschwitz and works as a development worker in Zambia (also with the help of a student working group).

Youth policy

From 1994 to 1996 he was the first spokesman for the Green Alternative Youth Alliance , the party's youth organization.

Berlin state politics

In the Berlin House of Representatives election in 2006, he ran in the Reinickendorf 2 constituency and received 6.8% of the vote.

Since the 2011 election he has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Berlin in the Reinickendorf District Council . He sits on the Transport Committee and the Integration, Citizen Services and Submissions and Complaints Committees.
