Benjamin von der Ahe

Benjamin von der Ahe (born May 1976 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German politician .

Life

Von der Ahe grew up in Leer , East Frisia , where he graduated from high school in 1995 . He did his community service in Hanover. The trained IT specialist studied economics at the University of Hanover from 1997 to 2000 and public management at the HWR Berlin and HTW Berlin from 2004 to 2009 and completed his studies with a degree in business administration . Today he analyzes and researches civil society and non-profit organizations at PHINEO , where he works as a social impact analyst.

politics

He has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 1998. From April 2000 to April 2001 he was treasurer of the Green Youth of Lower Saxony; from April 2001 to April 2002 federal treasurer and from April 2002 to October 2003 federal spokesman for the Green Youth . For the 2002 elections Benjamin was von der Ahe green Direct candidate in the constituency Unterems . In the 2004 European elections , he ran for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen at number 14 on the list , but they only won 13 seats. In March 2007 he was elected treasurer of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Berlin and left in the autumn for personal reasons. Von der Ahes' main political topics are the new media as well as environmental and educational policy. In 2011 he founded the digital society association together with Markus Beckedahl and others .
