Johann Georg von Rechenberg , also Hans George Baron von Rechenberg , Johannes Georg von Rechenbergk or Hanßgeorg von Rechenbergk , (born October 11, 1610 in Cunnersdorf , Oberlausitz ; † April 7, 1664 in Dresden ) was a Saxon court marshal , real secret councilor , upper chamberlain and head stable master . Johann Georg was born in 1610 as the son of Baron Johann Joseph von Rechenberg on Cunnersdorf in Upper Lusatia . His mother was Ursula von Gersdorf from the Lipsa house . In 1629 he came to the court of Elector Johann Georg I of Saxony as the page of the electoral prince . From 1633 to 1636 Prince Elector Johann Georg II let him travel to England, France and the Netherlands at his own expense. In 1639 von Rechenberg acquired what is now the Blüherpark , outside the city walls in front of Dresden's Pirna Gate , on which he had a pleasure palace built fourteen years later . In 1641 he was appointed stable master and electoral chief chamberlain and Emperor Ferdinand III. In 1656 he renewed the baron status confirmation that his ancestors had had for his services .

After Elector Johann Georg II took over government in 1656, he was appointed Ober-Hof-Marshal and Ober-Cammer-Herr . In 1657, the manor came over the manor Hermsdorf including Wahnsdorf by transferring Prince Elector Johann Georg II to the Baron von Rechenberg. In the same year he acquired the Bischofsberg in Zitzschewig , from which he made the Hohenhaus , among other things by converting an existing winegrower's house . His wife Rachel von Werthern , daughter of Dietrich von Werthern zu Frohndorf, owner of Triestewitz Castle , added another vineyard to the property, which from then on comprised sixteen contiguous mountain parts. In 1658, Rechenberg, as the Saxon court marshal, was one of the companions of his elector Johann Georg II. In the election of Leopold I as emperor in Frankfurt am Main and was then appointed real secret councilor and prime minister , and in 1664 he was appointed chief stable master . After his death in the same year, the elector personally arranged the funeral ceremonies and personally attended them in the presence of Prince Elector Johann Georg , Duke Moritz von Sachsen-Zeitz and Landgrave Georg Christian von Hessen-Homburg . He was buried on April 14th in the Dresden Kreuzkirche .
