Johann Konrad Brandenstein

Johann Konrad Brandenstein (born August 1, 1695 in Kitzingen , † November 21, 1757 in Stadtamhof ) was an organ builder .

Life

Johann Konrad Brandenstein learned from his father Johann Adam Brandenstein and worked as a journeyman in Mainfranken . In 1724 he married the widow of the organ builder Philipp Franz Schleich (* around 1686; † November 15, 1723 in Stadtamhof) and took over his workshop. Johann Ferdinand Balthasar Stieffell was his student from 1751 to 1757.

1904 Conversion (pneumatics, free-standing console, some registers) by Martin Hechenberger . A return to the original state is planned. It is the only Brandenstein organ whose pipework has largely been preserved, while the clumsy pneumatic accessories from 1904 distort the instrument.
