origin

His family came from France and were Huguenot . After the revocation of the Edict of Tolerance of Nantes in 1685, she immigrated to the Kurbrandenburg lands. Johann Leonhard was the son of the Prussian Colonel Noé (d'Artis) de Bequignolle and Katharina Elisabeth, widow of Lieutenant Colonel Friedrich Moritz von Bequer and née von Hutten, a daughter of Major General Bernhard von Hutten and his wife, née Kolb von Wartenberg , Sister of the Kurbrandenburg Minister Count Johann Kasimir Kolb von Wartenberg . His father, who had been married to his mother since 1713, was granted the old French nobility and the Prussian nobility in 1718 . The blue shield of the family coat of arms shows a golden rafter, accompanied by three golden maces (morning stars; 2: 1). His sister Jeanne Marie (1713–1791) was married to the President of the War and Domain Chamber in Minden , then in Kleve , Victor Carl Moritz von Bessel (1700–1786), and was thus an aunt of the President of the Pomeranian War and Domain Chamber , Carl Wilhelm von Bessel .
