Jon DiSalvatore (born March 30, 1981 in Bangor , Maine ) is an American ice hockey player who was under contract with the Florida Everblades in the East Coast Hockey League since October 2015 .
Career
Jon DiSalvatore began his career as a hockey player at Providence College , which he attended from 1999 to 2003, while playing for its ice hockey team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . During this period he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2000 in the fourth round as a total of 104 players by the San Jose Sharks . For their farm team Cleveland Barons , the winger ran in the 2003/04 season in the American Hockey League . On June 30, 2004, he received a free agent contract with the St. Louis Blues , for whose AHL farm team Worcester IceCats he was on the ice in the 2004/05 season . From 2005 to 2007 he played for St. Louis' new AHL farm team Peoria Rivermen , where he also played in five games for the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League in the 2005/06 season.
In the summer of 2007 he was signed by the NHL team Phoenix Coyotes , but played throughout the 2007/08 season exclusively for their AHL farm team San Antonio Rampage . The same happened to him in the following season when he was signed by the New Jersey Devils from the NHL, but exclusively for their AHL farm team Lowell Devils . In the summer of 2009 he joined the Minnesota Wild from the NHL, for which he was active in a game in the 2011/12 season . The rest of the time from 2009 he spent with their AHL farm team Houston Eros , where he was team captain from 2010 to 2012. In July 2012, the American was signed by the Hershey Bears . In summer 2013 he moved to Germany for EHC Red Bull Munich ; his contract with the DEL club from Munich was terminated in December of the same year. The move to Syracuse Crunch followed , where he played again in the American Hockey League. In August 2014, diSalvatore again signed a contract with EHC Red Bull Munich, where he spent the entire 2014/15 season and scored 34 points in 43 games. In October 2015, he joined the Florida Everblades from the East Coast Hockey League .
International
For the USA , DiSalvatore took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2001 . In seven games he scored six goals and three assists.
