Karin Kessler , née Karin Rettmeyer (born April 25, 1939 in Hamburg ), is a former German athlete who - starting for the Federal Republic - was successful as an 800-meter runner in the 1960s . On August 16, 1967, she was involved in a world record in the 3 × 800 meter relay race in Düsseldorf (6: 21.0 min: Antje Gleichfeld , Anita Rottmüller , Karin Kessler).
