Jolanta Januchta
Jolanta Januchta (born January 16, 1955 in Bielsko-Biała ) is a former Polish middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance .
Career
In 1980 she won the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Sindelfingen . At the Olympic Games , she came in sixth place both in the individual competition and with the Polish team in the 4 x 400 meter relay , and in the 1981 World Cup in Athletics she was third.
In 1982 she won bronze at the European Indoor Championships in Milan . At the European Athletics Championships in Athens she finished fourth and finished seventh with the Polish quartet in the 4-by-400 relay. In 1983 she reached the semi-finals at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki .
She was Polish champion over 800 m six times (1974, 1977-1980, 1983) and twice over 1500 m (1978, 1983). In 1977 and 1982 she was the national 800 m indoor champion.
