Shelayna Oskan-Clarke (born January 20, 1990 in London as Shelayna Oskan ) is a British athlete who specializes in the 800 meters.

Career

In 2008 Shelayna Oskan took part in the Commonwealth Youth Games , where she finished fifth over 400 meters. In 2015 she qualified for the European Indoor Championships in Prague , where she was eliminated in the first round. With a new best performance in the semi-finals of the World Championships in Beijing , they secured a final grid position and finished there the fifth place . In 2016 she took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and reached the semi-finals . At the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade in 2017 , Oskan-Clarke set a new personal record in the final over 800 meters and thus won the silver medal.

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2019 in Glasgow, she won the gold medal in a time of 2: 02.58 min.
