Katharina Pütter
Katharina Pütter (born May 6, 1984 in Flensburg ) is a German actress , translator and author .
Career
After graduating from high school, Katharina Pütter studied acting at the Academy for Performing Arts in Bavaria . a. in Jean Genet's tragedy The Maids and in Shakespeare's comedy What you want on the stage, directed by Lis Verhoeven . In 2008 she played her first cinema role in the comedy Paarreim . This was followed by television appearances in the ARD series Marienhof , with the KreuzKöllnKops and in the movie comedy Men to Smooch .
At the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg , Pütter could be seen in Michael Frayn's Der Nackte Wahnsinn, directed by Fred Berndt . Her portrayal of the slowly deafening Sylvia in the German-language premiere of Nina Rine's drama Sippschaft also attracted attention there in 2012 . In the play Together you are less alone , she took on the leading role of Camille in a Germany-wide tour. Directed by Andreas Kaufmann , she played the role of Sister Kelly in My Friend Harvey by Mary Chase in Hamburg and at the comedy in the Bayerischer Hof in Munich . She appeared in Alan Ayckbourn's play Half Truths, directed by Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt . In 2017 and 2018 she played Angélique at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater alongside Volker Lechtenbrink in Molière's comedy The Imaginary Sick , directed by Wolf-Dietrich Sprenger . In 2019 she embodied the US presidential candidate Emely Harper in the world premiere of Stefan Zimmermann's Mr. President First .
Katharina Pütter gives literary readings across Germany on stages, in bookshops, at the Berlin International Literature Festival, as part of the Salon Festival and on board the MS Europa . As a spokeswoman for radio plays and spoken word contributions, she can be heard on Deutschlandradio , Kulturradio from rbb , NDR and in TV productions from Arte .
With the double bass player Martin Wind , she has been on stage throughout Germany with the program New York, New York - The City and its Neurotics since 2017 . As part of the Salon Festival, she has been a guest in the formats Literature and Kluge Köpfe as a guest with literary readings and talks since 2015 . a. with Giovanni di Lorenzo , Omar Akbar , Johannes Kister and Robert Habeck .
Pütter is the author of biographical portraits for newspapers, magazines and specialist magazines about Axel Stosberg , Jörg Asmussen , Birgit Liss, Moritz Graf zu Rantzau , Bigpoint founder Heiko Hubertz, Peter Humig, Susanne Hatje, Wolfgang Krüger, Amanda Hyndman, Gregor Gerlach, Finn Age Hansel, Martin Wind , Jörg Jará . In 2016, a selection was published in her book Leben geht weit - Zehn Flensburgs . Her portraits appeared u. a. in newspapers of the sh: z as well as the magazines Tophotel , Waldzeit - Men's Grand Forest , bassquarterly and StartingUp .
She is the translator of the play Linda , which in the English author Penelope Skinner Theaterverlag appeared Jussenhoven & Fischer. The German premiere had its premiere in November 2019 at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus under the direction of Marius von Mayenburg . In 2019 Pütter translated the drama Lammfromm (Meek), also by Penelope Skinner, from English into German and in 2020 the play Die Geliebte (The Mistress) by Arnold Wesker .
