Micah Sierra "Katt" Williams (born September 2, 1973 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is an American comedian , actor and rapper . He is part of the hip-hop crew The Diplomats .

Private life

Micah Sierra "Katt" Williams is the son of a former member of the Black Panther Party . Williams grew up in Dayton , Ohio. At 13, he moved from home with his dog Rasha and went to Florida to emulate his idols Bill Cosby , Darnell Allen and Richard Pryor and become a comedian. First he hired himself as a street vendor. In his teenage years he honed his art with stand-up comedians from Florida, North Carolina , Oklahoma , New Orleans and Sacramento, among others . He has seven children, six of whom are adopted.

Career

William's breakthrough came in the summer of 1999 when he won Cedric the Entertainers Anheuser-Busch's "Best Los Angeles Comics" award. This success earned him the role of 'Money Mike' in Friday After Next . He also played this role in 2005 at the start of a music video for Lil 'Kim's "Lighters Up" . In 2001 he was voted one of the “New Faces” at the Comedy Festival Juste pour rire in Montreal . Before he set foot on the stage in Canada, he landed a major deal with NBC Studios and D (dot) nell Productions. In October 2002, he auditioned at 20th Century Fox for a role on NYPD Blue , which he was immediately offered. In April 2003 he failed with a pilot episode of a series by Tracy Morgan , which was taken into the program as a midseason replacement on NBC, but was ultimately canceled again.

He played the speaking role of the character A Pimp Named Slickback in an episode of The Boondocks television series . Williams has also appeared on sitcoms like What's Up, Dad? and Cuts in appearance and was a regular guest on Nick Cannon's MTV show Wild 'N Out . In 2003 he appeared in music videos for Nick Cannons Gigolo , in One Night Stand by rapper E-40 , in Stand-up by Ludacris and in 2004 in OutKasts Roses , Suga Frees Thinkin ' and Ludacris Pimpin All Over The World . The most recent music videos he appeared in were Nick Cannon's Dime Piece , Ice Cubes Go To Church, and Lil Scrappys Money in da Bank .

He rapped with The Game in the mixtape Ghost Unit , with Chamillionaire in the song Roll Call , which was released on the album Mixtape Messias , and with Snoop Dogg.

In 2006 he achieved great success with his stand-up comedy The Pimp Chronicles Pt. 1 . On November 12, 2006, he hosted the first BET Hip Hop Awards, which aired on November 15, 2006. On November 18, 2006 , Williams performed as a musical guest at a Prince concert .

In November 2007, Williams announced January 29, 2008 as the release date of his debut album It's Pimpin 'Pimpin' in the US. Williams sat in the studio with Snoop Dogg , 50 Cent and Paul Wall, among others .

In GTA IV , published on April 29, 2008, Williams can be seen in the game with several appearances in a comedy club, where he has synchronized himself and performed the motion capturing.
