Kirchviertel (Bochum)

The Kirchviertel in Bochum is a quarter in the district Wiemelhausen (district south) and lies between Weitmar-Mark and Brenschede .

The Kirchviertel is bordered by Königsallee in the west, Universitätsstraße in the east and Nordhausen Ring in the north. The center of the Kirchviertel is at the intersection between Brenscheder Straße, Borgholzstraße and Bruchstraße. In the Kirchviertel there are numerous shops as well as specialists, general practitioners and pharmacies.

The church district is shaped by the St. Johannes Church , whose history is closely linked to that of the district.
