Konstantin Bühler (* 1979 in Düsseldorf ) is a German actor and radio play speaker .

Life

Bühler first studied American studies , comparative literature and history at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , but broke off his studies in favor of his training at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main . Under the direction of Günther Beelitz , Wolfgang Maria Bauer brought him to the Theater der Stadt Heidelberg in 2003 , of which he was a member until 2005. In the 2005/2006 season he moved to the Landestheater Linz , where he played until 2007. For his portrayal of Oedipus in Sophocles ' play of the same name in a production by Bernarda Horres in 2006, Bühler received a nomination for “Young Actor of the Year” by Theater heute magazine .

From 2007 to 2014 Bühler worked as a freelance actor. For his portrayal of the Hauptsturmführer in Heinz R. Unger's Zwölfeläuten in a production by Michael Lerchenberg at the Luisenburg Festival , Bühler received the Rosenthal Young Talent Award 2008, which is awarded by Rosenthal AG and the Luisenburg Festival. In 2009, in Matthias Langhoff's production of Bertolt Brecht's In the Thicket of Cities at the Linz State Theater, Bühler played the role of library employee George Garga.

In 2012, Bühler taught acting at the Academy for Performing Arts in Baden-Württemberg . In the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 seasons he was part of the ensemble of the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus . In the 2017/2018 season, Bühler switched to the ensemble of the Staatstheater Braunschweig (collaboration with Christoph Diem and Philipp Preuss, among others ). With the beginning of the artistic directorship of Johan Simons , he moved to the Schauspielhaus Bochum in 2018 . Bühler also works as a radio play speaker.
