Kouvolan Kiekko-65 , usually called KooKoo ( KK ) for short , is a Finnish ice hockey club from Kouvola , which was founded in 1965 and plays in the Liiga . The team plays its home games in the Lumon Areena, which has 6200 seats .

In 1987 the team won the championship of I-divisioona , the second highest Finnish league at the time. The team's greatest successes in the Mestis until 2014 were the runner-up in 2002 and third place in the 2002/03 season.

In the 2013/14 season KooKoo was athletic champions of the second division, but they were denied promotion because the league competitor Vaasan Sport offered better economic conditions. In October 2014 it was decided to include KooKoo in the Liiga for the 2015/16 season , as the club had significantly increased the budget.
