Kraisdorf is a district of the Lower Franconian community Pfarrweisach in the Haßberge district .

geography

The church village is located in the north-eastern part of the district on the Baunach . The river cuts Kraisdorf into two parts of different sizes. About one and a half kilometers east of Kraisdorf, the federal road 279 runs from Breitengüßbach to Bad Neustadt an der Saale . Other roads connect Kraisdorf with Brno, Burgpreppach and Pfarrweisach .

history

The first mention was in the year 800, when the abbess Emhild of the nunnery Milize donated goods in "Greifesdorf" to the monastery Fulda . In 976 Emperor Otto II issued a certificate on the way to Regensburg in "Greifesdorf".

In 1387 Eberhart Fuchs the boy at Breitbach received half a tithe and a farm at “Greysdorff”. In 1477 the Rotenhan also owned "Greistorff". In 1575 the Würzburg bishopric had Hintersassen in "Greißdorff". Kraisdorf was a typical Ganerbendorf of the Hochstift Würzburg and a Franconian Imperial Knight of the knightly canton of Baunach .

There was a Jewish community in Kraisdorf until the end of the 19th century. It originated in the 18th century when Jewish families were allowed to settle under the barons of Altenstein and the Rotenhan manor.

In 1828 the community had a school building, which was expanded in 1886, built for the single-class denominational school of both Christian denominations. In 1862 the rural community of Kraisdorf , which had been independent since 1818, was incorporated into the newly created Bavarian District Office of Ebern . The rural community consisted of two places, the church village and the desert Kraisdorfermühle, 0.5 kilometers away. In 1871 it had 300 inhabitants, of whom 140 were Catholics, 129 Protestants and 31 Jews, and 63 residential buildings. The Catholics belonged to the district of the parish of Pfarrweisach, 2.5 kilometers away, and the Protestants to the parish of Eyrichshof, 6.5 kilometers away .

In 1900 the 540.9 hectare community had 272 residents and 57 residential buildings. Two more Jews were counted. In 1925 270 people lived in Kraisdorf, 150 of whom were Catholic and 120 Protestant, in 56 residential buildings. In 1950 the community had 445 residents and 57 residential buildings. In 1961 Kraisdorf had 333 residents and 57 residential buildings. In 1970 there were 329 inhabitants and in 1987 303 inhabitants and 71 residential buildings with 86 apartments.

On July 1, 1972, the district of Ebern was dissolved and Kraisdorf became part of the Haßberg district. In the mid-1970s, the community built a community center and swimming pool. On May 1, 1978, it was incorporated into the parish of Pfarrweisach.
